Save the World! Every mile saved helps!

ZeroCommute™ is Our Commitment to being Environmentally Responsible.

The advent of the Internet in the early nineties started a wholesale change in the way anyone can do business.

We were like many others, our home in the "Burbs, our Studio downtown Atlanta. As the Traffic and pollution built to a climax just before the Olympics, we decided to be part of the solution, and not part of the problem.

Lots of people talked out of the sides of their mouths; "We're very concerned about pollution,, blah blah." Yet we didn't see too many doing anything about it, often they'd be on their cellphones complaining about traffic and pollution!?!? So What did we do?

Telecommuting? No, we opted for "ZeroCommute™." Since we are almost always called to a client's location for interviews and creative meetings, and since we more often than not either shot on location, or spent hours dressing up the studio to look like someone's home,,, We sold our last Studio building in Atlanta, (its now full of lofts) and moved all our Shooting operations to an expanded shooting space in our home outside Atlanta. That worked well also for years. (we do maintain a convenient meeting space for clients, in our fav office towers in Atlanta, Charleston and Miami.) We no longer live in our homes, all our rental properties are rented to tourists. And Now we also maintain living and shooting space in our galleries. All our entities must be live/work environments. So if you visit our newest gallery along Florida's Forgotten Coast, you will know, that somewhere, behind all the displays, and the studio shooting space, there is a full featured living space as well. It just makes sense, and helps the planet.

We've done it every way possible, we've lived in our commercial spaces, we've worked out of an expanded space in our homes, both have worked equally as well. I personally enjoy living in the commercial spaces more, and have returned to that as my primary live/work space. Find what works for you, clients depend upon you for the quality of your work. If you rely upon a "space" to be seen as a legitimate business, you have other problems. Do your homework, get all required licenses and insurance, study constantly and strive to provide superior quality to every client regardless where your work is done.

In the years since how has that worked? Fantastic! Clients educate themselves about our business via the Internet, we still spend a good deal of time traveling, but now we are no longer limited to the Atlanta metro area, we shoot all over the world, with our efforts concentrated upon the South Eastern USA. We are able to remain price competitive since our overhead costs are now much reduced, all our resources go towards creating a fantastic image for our clients, rather than being wasted on our old studio, commuting and related costs.

We've expanded into several cities, which never would have been possible without this change. Now we shoot in Paris, Miami, San fran, and many more places, all without concern for our previous shooting space.

Clients no longer have to worry about driving to a bad part of town, about parking in an iffy area, and endure the usual no frills environs of what a working studio/loft is like.

Also, it saves us LOTS of formerly wasted time with wannabe's, price shoppers, salespeople, and curiosity seekers. Since people have to seek us out, by the time we connect with new clients and or talent, we know they are serious, and want our talent, not just "A" Photographer. We also save hours by not having countless models just "dropping by" to show us their books, now everyone is by Appointment. We're Much happier, much more streamlined and efficient. Yes we do maintain gallery/office space in Atlanta, Charleston, Miami, the NW GulfCoast and San Fran, but for shooting, we use actual homes and locations as much as possible.

How do our clients like it? Comments like these say it all:

We encourage EVERYONE who can, to Cut the Commute! Now more than EVER teleworking, Internet virtual offices and more are options. Push your company to implement a real workable policy. Don't accept corporate Band-Aids, get cars off Atlanta's Highways, Save some Air!

Job Opps

We're always on the lookout for qualified sales and marketing people, photographic assistants, and associates. If you are in Atlanta, or one of the other cities in which we work, please send us your resume, or e-mail us your skillset. We use assistants for commercial shoots, for fashion shoots, and for weddings.
